This is the plastic 1970s doorbell cover that you see directly in front of you when you come into the front door of our house. Any ideas on what to do with the homily thing? Buy a new cover? Make something out of wood and cover with fabric? I'd love to hear your suggestions...

all I can think about is the white strips song - "im thinking about the door bell baby, when ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it" Kerry and Mark made their door bell sort kitchy -(no idea how to spell that) but they just sort of owned it - it had stickers on it from the 70's -
Hi Big Bro and Big Sis!! you could do what I did to my 1980's door bell and rip it off the wall, through it in the bin and plaster over the mess it left behind! Then you can get a wireless 21st century fancy bell. Enjoy! Little bruvver Neil.
oops I meant to say "throw" it in the bin.
We just moved ours into an out of the way spot! I think we also painted over it, will have to check.
